How do I play SWITCH?
The game has three different play modes:
In “Play & Win,” you can play along with the daily contest. You get 60 seconds to make it from fifth place to first place. For each correct answer, you move up a place; for each wrong answer, you drop back to fifth place.
In “Play with 5,” you can play the game online with other players and/or friends. In this play mode, you always play with 5 players. The player who gives the correct answer fastest switches spots with the player ahead of him.
In “Play solo,” you can play the game in a more general way. You get 60 seconds to make it from fifth place to first place. For each correct answer, you move up a place; for each wrong answer, you drop back to fifth place.
What can I win?
In “Play & Win” mode, you can play along every day to win Trivia Switch coins. You can also earn XP and coins by playing the other game modes.
In some regions we will sometimes work together with a local partner to provide real prizes. Contest rules will be available in the app when this is possible in your selected region.
What is an avatar?
In your very first playing session, you choose a name and make an avatar, which is a virtual representation of yourself.
Of course, you are free to choose how you want to look, and you can always adjust your avatar’s appearance by clicking on the smiley icon in the upper left corner of the main menu.
What are XP and Levels?
When you play SWITCH, your avatar gains experience, and you earn XP. You can use this to reach a higher level, allowing you to compare yourself to other players and unlock new content in the avatar store.
What are Coins?
What is the Avatar store?
Here, you can buy all kinds of things to personalize your avatar more. These items can be purchased with the Coins you earn in the game. Some items can only be bought once you reach a certain level.
How much does it cost?
You can download the game for free from Google Play and the Apple App Store. All play modes are free of charge.
You can also unlock all content available in the game, free of charge. However, it is possible to purchase “Coins,” in order to adapt your avatar more quickly and easily. Furthermore, it is also possible for you to make the game advertisement-free.
Why do I see advertisements?
To cover the costs of further development and maintenance of the game, we use advertising. You can, however, opt to remove this advertising and to support the developer by paying a small one-time fee.
Can I play on another device with my existing avatar?
it is possible to synchronize your devices, so you can play with the same character on multiple devices.
This can be achieved by linking your game to your Facebook account. Afterwards you can install the game on a new device and load your existing avatar by logging into Facebook on first start-up or during avatar creation.
How do I delete my account / avatar?
In the main menu, you can open the settings (in the upper left corner). Here, you can click on “Delete account.” This deletes all of your data in the game, such as avatar, level, XP, clothing, info, and name.
How can I play with my friends?
In “Play with 5” mode of the game, you can opt to play with friends. To do so, you can choose between two options:
• Start a game with friends: This means you start a new game, and you get a code that you can share with your friends via text message, Facebook, Twitter, SWITCH name or just orally. The other players then choose “play with friends” and enter your code. From the moment all of your friends are present, push start.
• Play with your friends: Choose this option if you’ve already received a code. Enter the code.
How can I leave a game early?
By clicking on the X in the upper right hand corner while a game is in session, you can leave a session early. If you do so, you do not earn any more XP or Coins, and in “Play & Win” mode, you lose your chance to play along that day.
What data do you collect about me?
In order to improve the quality of our services and games, we collect statistics and information regarding usage. This may include information such as number of users, game sessions, crash reports, popular items, difficult questions… In doing so, of course, we respect our users’ privacy, and we do not collect any personal data. Only when online services and social networks, such as Facebook or the VRT profile are used, do we use your personal data to support certain functionalities & features.

How do you use the data collected?

How can I manage my social accounts?
You can log in or out using Facebook or your VRT profile, and you can log out under settings. This screen can be found by clicking on the gear icon at the upper left corner of the main menu.
